The M6Ne is the sucessor to the M6N. It was released about a month ago, and is instores now. There were a few minor cosmetic changes along with the upgrade from the 9600 to 9700 GPU. So given this and going on past experiances with ASUS, I would not expect to see an upgrade for at least a few more months (Xmas maybe), and I doubt you'll see a 128Mb 9700 added to the M6Ne. I'm also guessing that the w1n is what they will be pushing the most, and also where an upgrade may come. The M6 is also very similar to the W1N and ASUS may not want to deminish the impact of the sylish W1N by upgrading the M6Ne. I would also be guessing that the L5 series will be upgraded before the M6, as that is the older of the two and it pitched as there powerhouse top line machine.
So there is alot of guesswork here, which means only one thing, there is no answer and you will have to wait and see. There is always going to be a better notebook just round the corner, in the end you have to bite the bullet and buy when you can't wait any longer !

ps I'm still yet to see any benchmarks that show that the 128Mb version of the 9700 is far superior to the 64Mb version. The question I have is are the extra frame rates that much (im guesing it would be 1-5 maybe 10 at best), and are they worth not buying a notebook for?? -
hmm well speically i want the sonoma acer m6n upgrade
yah there's always a new one but sonoma is supposed to be a very big thing with faster bus, upgradable graphics, and better wireless so i'm waiting for the next model with that. or at least with te 9700 -
Intel are/have delayed the release of sonoma, I doubt it will be out until Xmas at the earlest, with more like a new year release. Just remember how long dothan took !
