    Hi guys,

Wonder if anybody can help me out by giving some hint, idea, etc. I have a pretty new M6Va (2 weeks old) and having the following problem:
When running from battery, the notebook stops working with battery of 25-27%. By "stops working" I mean that the HDD stops and the screen turns off, it doesn't react to any key or key combination (it still appears "on"). All I can make is to hold down the power button and wait till it turns off completely. This sucks pretty much, considering I lose all the data... I have all supporting SW installed, using Power Gear 4, battery settings in Windows: 9% warning, 4% hibernate. The battery was calibrated yesterday, it didn't help. I simply have no idea what it can be (except bad battery), so before I take it back to shop, I would like to ask some advices here. I will be grateful for any reactions. Thanks to all!

    Best regards,
    Poco

I'm not a pro, but from what i see it looks like power 4 gear is trying to save the battery by adjusting the power it feeds to the computer. For some reason, your system lock up and there's nothing you could do unless you restart. From my guess, it's probably cause by the software. Try reinstall Power Gear 4. (This assume that you did not underclock your system). If you do underclock it, that could be the cause. Also, have you recarlibrate the battery?

Hm, looks like it is really Power Gear. I uninstalled it and it works ok now, the screen turned off and on for a short while (half second?) when the battery got to 25%. Maybe it is caused by some other driver... no idea.

    Nobody ever experienced this?

PS: Yep, the battery was recalibrated.
