    Hi,
Anyone encounter this problem? After recovering from hibernation, my M6Ne will cause a serious error in xp (error message: windows xp has recovered from a serious error. Error signature is BCCode:96 ). This problem first began when I accidentally left my notebook in standby and the battery died.

I have the same problem twice if the cover was closed and then opened, XP crashed and re-started. Did you find an answer?

I've had this problem in the past, but haven't had it in a long time. Usually it's because the ATI video driver crashed during resume. Try getting a newer video driver.

    old: Sony PCG-GR300P 1.13GHz PIII-M, 512MB
    new: Asus M6Ne 2.00GHz P-M, 2GB

This isn't really an answer (cos I still could not figure out what the real problem was) but it turned out that the problem occurred after I had installed and uninstalled sp2. After re-installing all patches until sp1, the problem disappeared. Hope this helps.

Interesting. I had sp2 installed also, but it was messing up the system so I reformated up everything and installed (hopefully everything) up to sp2.

Highlandsun, do you know what version of the video driver is needed?

    Thanks
