    Hi,

I've got an M6n (M6B00N) with the standard 512 of memory. I've been using it a lot for photoshop, and Indesign (pluged into my Sony G420) and it works beautifully. I realised that I need more ram in the thing and so went down and picked up another stick of 512 (DDR 333 blah blah), stick it in the back and it won't boot, lights up, but no boot. Any suggestions??

I'm running the following bios: 0207 (3/25/2004) and haven't done anything else to it. It's probably something blantantly obvious isn't it??

    Cheers

Most likely a bad stick... the unit is good for up to 2 GB.. Take the stick back and exchange it..

    "Good luck with that!"

Well.... the other ram you tried obviously works in the other ctrs.... any chance that ram is incompatible? have you contacted the shop where you bought it? prolly should.. check the spec on the ram you are trying against the ASUS approved modules..

    "Good luck with that!"

Was it because you needed DDR 2700 Ram ?

I got a stick of kingmax which works fine, the corsair seems to be incompatible - i don't know why? Some one also said somewhere that mushkin works okay too.

I only posted this to see if anyone, with this spec had the same problem ... obviously not. can't help but feel a little duddded (if that's a word)

    Cheers
