I just got an M70Vn and I am looking to upgrade it to 8GB of RAM. (Yes, I realize it has 4GB in it already, but I'm getting ready to go overseas for 6+ months where this will be my only computer, and I want the ability to have memory intensive applications open as I need them, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

Now, I have seen a couple people upgrade these things to 8GB, but I was wondering if they have seen any issues with stability or had any compatibility issues with certain brands of memory.

Any info at all would be helpful, thanks.

    Welcome to NBR!
I've got a 4GB stick of Patriot memory and it's working great. My G50vt is from roughly the same era as your M70vn.

    i have an entry-level asus k-series.
i was also concerned with stability and compatibility so i suggest you ask a company that specifically deals with RAM what the best option is.
my laptop has with 8gb of RAM and it works a treat.
i got the 8gb from Koybe. the RAM they recommended me was more expensive than other ones i saw but it work well.
i've had problems in the past from choosing it by myself.
