    I have an M70v which has a 2.0Ghz Core2Duo CPU and 1440x900 display.

I have installed Windows 7. However, ASUS does not seem to offer drivers for Windows 7 for this product.

Am I missing something? Looking in the wrong place?

    Thanks in advance!

ASUS usually does not provide updated drivers for older models when a new operating system comes out, but maybe have a look at the M70Vn section here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

It could be that your notebook and M70Vn share the same hardware. Otherwise make a search for the missing drivers either on the ASUS website or on internet by providing the Hardware ID of the devices.

You can usually use Vista drivers for Windows 7. One of Win7's main goals was to avoid the driver nightmare caused by the XP>>Vista transition again. That's also why Windows 7 is technically version 6.1.

I used Vista drivers for my G50vt all through the Win7 Beta and before Asus officially released Win7 drivers.

I had installed Windows 7 on my old M50Vm.
Here is a list of the drivers that I collected for it:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/403545-asus-m50vm-win7-driver-collection.html

In my experience some of the Vista drivers did not work very well, especially I had lot of trouble with the Vista Finger Scanner driver.
What I never got to work completely was the Multimedia functions of the touchpad. ASUS never released a Win7 driver for the multimedia touchpad and with Vista drivers some of the functions did not work.
