While I love the specs, and price of the G51Vx-X3A, I'm looking for a machine with those specs for software development, graphics, etc. The only thing that kind of gets me about this machine is the flaming (or whatever you call it) graphics on the lid and the "ASUS Republic of Gamers" text. No, I have no issue with that if I were using it at home, but I'll be using it in a professional work environment (e.g., somewhat stuffy and conservative; not where I want to be but it's paying the bills right now), and carrying around a machine with that on it may get a few snickers. Yep, this may seem silly to some of you, but I actually DON'T want to be thought of as a gamer at work.

So, flame me if you want :), but are there any machines out there that compete with that laptop on specs and price?
