I was wondering if I could make my a6ja , wich has a built on webcam and microphone start recording voice and video when the notebook is powered on .
I travel frequently and in some airports the security personall chooses to take away notebooks 'to the back' in order the check them. Most of the times one is not allowed to come with them! Now, who KNOWS what they do...I just want to be sure that when they actually do spoil something... that they can be made responsible for that...
Now, I will make the machine log all activities through logging software, but I'd also like to record sound and video...
Is there anyone who knows how I can accomplish this ? Maybe there is a programm available for this ?

hehe, i have thot about this too.
The answer is yes and no.
Firstly, here's what you gotta do, make a script or a program in which, IF laptop turns on = turn on video and start recording and voice recording to a specific location on the hard drive.
The problem is the actualy trigger.
um, I can program everything but the trigger, lol, but i have an idea.
Put a message on the laptop stating, if you plan on using this notebook, the password for full access is ctrl + alt + 1 <-this will trigger a huge macro that will automaticaly record and voice record on your laptop and will write to your hard drive.
One step forward is to some how have this stream directly to an FTP and thus you can check a live feed on who's using you notebook at any time aslong as the notebook is online!
The program you will need is Macro Maker, i have been using it for years.
Some people have been wondering why, my computer runs 24/7, well at nite, my Macro Maker has time schedule to open certain programs to run, Azureus, SpyBot, Adware, AVG, and anything else i want to run during the nite while i'm sleeping.
Google Macro Maker, it really easy to use, plus it record mouse movements and clicks, which will be triggered by a macro. This possibly one way of doing what you want to be done.
There may be other solutions.
Thanks,

Interesting! I can remember a program once tried. It's called Active Webcam ( PY Software. You can download an evaluation copy for 30 days (I think). You can let it start automatically when your computer starts and it will automatically record both video and sound when there's movement in front of the camera... Maybe it's worth a try?

Thank you both for you replies ... I will check your solutions out ...
I really hope that it works, because I can't stand the fact that they take my stuff to the back and I don't know who touches it ... Taking the power back !---
