When I first bought my Z33A I played DVDs fine using the combo drive. But a month later, any DVD i put in either Data/Movies wont work. On most discs the drive makes odd clicking sounds and I am unable to view the contents of the drive in my computer or the disc appears blank.

    Oddly enough, CDs work fine.

This is not good..should I take in my Laptop to the shop I bought it from? This sort of thing should be under warrenty..it is a bit ridiculus that a drive should go out this quickly.

I agree that this should be covered under warranty.
Just show them your problem and all should be well :D
