Hi.I had N55SF with shiny display. But unfortunatelly, display stopped working, so I am going to buy new one, but this time, I am thinking of matt display. IS there any BIG difference between matt and shiny display of N55SF? Thanks.

    Glossy screen:

*Good - Delivers a more vivid image
*Bad - Massive reflections in bright places, can't see the screen clearly outdoor.

    Matte screen:

*Good - No reflections, designed to combat that.
*Bad - Delivers a less vivid image (Slight loss of colours)

If you use your laptop outdoor or at bright places often you should go for Matte screen, if in house often, glossy screen.

In my opinion matte is much better. I'd also prefer the top lid not to be shiny.

It really comes down to personal preference and where you plan on using the device.

If any outside use, it's recommended to upgrade to a Matte Style screen.
