Using Ntune, what is the highest stable clock people are getting? I have it up to stock speeds now, but I'm just wondering how far I can push it

That's up to you to find out. Every GPU is different in quality. One card may not overclock as well as another card.
-
mine maxed at 610/1525. i havent pushed the mem past 1000 but it could go further
-
I wouldnt push the memory past 1Ghz
-
yeah after playin a bit, i find that 550/900/1350 is about as high as i can push it, oh well, got a dud gpu, no biggy though, this thing still pwns, i'm having so much fun with it.

I'm beginning to think that the G71 GPU can't stand nearly as high clocks as the G51. Try flashing the vBios to 1v for the extra voltage and see if you can't manage to get higher clocks. However, my G71 can stand 550/950/1375 clocks at stock voltage...
-
well at stock volts o my G51, i can get 605/975/1575 altho i dont run it that high cuz max temps are 97C on every game i play (COD4/tf2/l4d/crysis)

Wow, 605/1575/975 @ 0.95v? You got a quality GPU. Lower your clocks to 600/1500/950. You lose little performance while shaving off a few degrees.
When are you going to pick up CS:S? -
i would love to flash to 1v to check out performance and see what ic an do, problem is, i already hit 100c in the furmark stress test in an ac'd room. in reg gaming i don't go over 81 or so at 550/900/1350, i'd love to try and squeeze the extra shader clocks out of it with a bios flash, but i'm worried this thing can't handle the temps, and the notebooks only like 1 weekk old today so i'm reluctant to start pullin it apart.
as for flashing, i've done everythign i can to every flash drive i own and can't get a bootable one to work lol -

Really? At stock clocks I get a max of 79ºC during 3dMark and 82ºC in furmark with an ambient temp of 77ºF. With a 15% CPU OC and 550/1375/950 I get 82ºC in 3dMark06...

I don't think he has a cooler either. He is getting really good temps.
-
well with my clocks i have really high temps. at 550/920/1375 i get 92C and the the ones i usually play with, 585/950/1500 i get 95C (l4d/tf2/3dmark). i really dont like the temp scores but....as long as my laptop lives for the warranty period, im a happy lil boy. if .95 is stock voltage, then yea thats my OC. i actually havent tried higher since it will prolly reach boiling point then.
i will prolly get css this/next week cuz i have a lot of hw and moving houses so.... -

All you kids, having fun with your Source. Back in my day we played 1.5. And then 1.6 snuck up on us.
-
hahaha 1.5, btw forge how old are you? i rmbr you got "ur dad's sears drill" from another thread, so you cant be that old to be "Back in the Day"? lol

He's a year older than me, that's for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if he put his social security in his profile too.
-
I'm at 600/925/1550 and I'm happy. 650/1625 causes 3DMArk to crash almost immediately. It would probably be stable in a regular game, but I don't care to try.
Those clocks produce an 87C max in a 75F room playing Bioshock or L4D on max everything. -

Push the voltage to 1.05v and give it a spin on 650/1625/925.
-
Eh, I'm fine where I am. The most demanding thing I play is FarCry 2 and it plays just fine at those clocks. No reason to push further than I need to.
-

How is Far Cry 2 holding up for you on your GTX 260M?

But 1.5 was the first Counter-Strike that I consistently played.
Wait what.
