Just purchased an ASUS X53E-RH Notebook... The Crucial site scaned a single 4G stick. I ordered a Pair of Crucial DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.35V • Part #: CT2294841 to replace the single 4 G stick. Will I see any benefit of having two matched sticks ( to increase to 8G) and will this take advantage of the dual channel capability of the Intel I5-2430M processor? Thanks in advance for any input..Hank

It will improve performance with dual-channel but not really noticeable, also with with i5 CPU the DDR3 1600 will down clock to 1333MHz.

The slowest component in your laptop is the platter hard drive.

Thanks for the reply's... Using Crystal Mark 09, found that the alu, fpu, and memory speed almost doubled - kinda as thought. Got a backup drive (WD6400 bvpt) to experiment with, using this NB at work keeping the work programs intact, I'm able to experiment with a clean install... Question
: What are the opinions as to "system speediness" with running a bare bones win 7 HP install vs the crap loaded at the factory... Comments welcomed and appreciated..
