Hi,
Since this said it will read 8 cards, and the Sony Pro Duo was one of them, I figured that I could put it in for it to work, I later figured out it is not really 8 cards that it reads, you need to put the adapter to read the small cards. Anyways, how can I take out the memory card now? It is stuck in there and I can't seem to take it out.

Haha, I have done this in my desktop aswell.
I used sewing pins to get them out (catch the grove or use 2 to pull it out).
If you end up pushing the card farther into the notebook though, don't hold me responsible ... good luck!
You may also want to see what other people have to say first. That's just what I did and it worked for me. -
Try going to a supermarket like ralphs and picking up one of those metal teeth cleaners that dentists have with a curved time. or bend the tip of a sewing needle. try and hook the sides with it.
-
LOL, i have done the exact same thing with my laptop! What i did to get it out was use a set of tweezers, it worked like a charm.
-
haha, I thought there is an "official" way to do it but I guess there isn't. I will try and see what happens.
Thanks to all -
tweezers work
-
yes, use a thin tweezers it will work
-
use a paper with adhesive tape on it, the use something to press the tape against the memory card. Once it has a hold on it, take it out.
I almost made the same mistake as u when i bought my notebook.
Ups, probably you have already take it out... -
I used 2 unbent paper clips.

Break a bobby pin in half and it will make perfectly curved ends for grabbing underneath it. Same thing happened to me.

take a pair of very flat tweezers. curve the ends so that they fold up instead of towards each other. leave about half mm gap on the end when closed. this will allow you to get the tweezers past the plastic case and grab the tip of the card. you can also take a staple, put a tiny touch of crazy glue on the end, let it adhere to the card, then just gently pull it out and break off the pin or whatever you used. worked for me a few times

lol I didn't take it out yet
-
I tried a paper clip and it made my stick go all the way in, now what should I do?
-
ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Push the stick in a bit more to see if the spring latch kicks it out a bit (this happens with SD cards in the reader - then try the grip trick with one of the suggestions mentioned above to try to remove. Glue is best bet if you can't get the others to work.
-
I also did the exact same thing. Mine was stuck all the way in there as well. The spring didn't kick my Pro Duo out. I used a long and thin set of tweezers and pulled it out. I make sure to use my adapter now.
-
Come on, why do they fake you and say 8 in 1 then.... it should be like 3 in 1
-
For the same reason they say the laptop is
1.2inch thick (without the feet)
1.8kg (with 3-cell battery and traveller's drawer)
up to 6hours batt life (when idle, WLAN, BT and screen off, and running nothing)
shall I continue? -
lol, i thought that as well when buying my g1s, the website said 8 in 1 reader, but when i got the g1s, the hole looked too big for a ms pro duo so i just slid it in a teeny bit lol. when nothing would grip i just took it out. my friend lol, he put in a micro sd card in his laptop and couldnt get it out. it was quite brutal but he shaked his laptop with the card side facing down and it dropped out after many shakes.
-
lol, you don't need to continue EBE
Chronus, micro sd card are VERY SMALL, how did he think of putting that in haha.
I guess I will have to deal with it. I am going to try to remove it when I am free -
i dunno, he told me that at like 1 40 am lol, i guess he wasnt thinking about anything and just put it in there because he took it out from his phone. lol
