So im looking into buying the F3 from Buy.com for 1504 befor tax free shipping... a few things i need to know...

    The memory...

Does it run in dual channel?
Should i replace both sticks at the same time? Like i would with my older p4 desktop.

Can i add a 2GB stick no problems on top of the 1GB stock total of 3GB?

also the speed ive heard some people are running DDR2-800/PC26400 is this worth the upgrade or should i stick with the DDR2-667/PC25300/5400?

    any advice is good advice...

    In order:

    1. dual channel works as long as the memory is matched in size.

    2. You can replace either 1 or both RAM sticks - your choice; you aren't required to do two at a time. The positive impact on performance in notebooks from dual channel is between minor and negligible.

    3. 3GB will work fine in any current notebooks.

    4. There are little performance gains to adding ddr2-800 RAM over 667 in current notebooks , as the rest of the system has to be optimized (from a design standpoint) to take advantage of the increased speed. IMO, not worth the premium pricing for something that you may see only in benchmarks.
