There simply isnt a good reason to buy this laptop, except to get the Lamborghini badge, it is way over priced, just wait and get the W2P.

The GeForce Go 7400 is too slow for any decent gaming, and that 512mb is 256 dedicated and 256 shared.

    Anyways, WAY OVER PRICED!

How can a "lamb-o-ghini" be so slow on paper...

Agreed. Asus's boutique line of that sort is horribly over-priced, worse than Alienware.

The Lamborghini should be something like:
    Core2Duo top of the line, Go7700/x1700, 4GB DDR2 667MHz RAM, 250 GB HD

    imo. .. :)

Hey! Not a bad idea Darrick. Since each 2 GB stick costs near 1500, 4 Gb of memory might actually justify its cost.

Well, although we can get into this argument again, someone should really use the search function to find out what it's all about. As a quick refresher:

    1. This model was ONLY to get Lambo the much needed brand recognition as a laptop brand and to get good reviews based on an already proven chassis.

    2. Lambo's second model (most likely called the Vx2 is going to be the real deal..... 85-90% designed by Lambo with 10-15% input by Asus..... I expect something based on the santa rose platform in 6 months time. This is sure to be "the lamborghini of notebooks" that everyone things the Vx1 should be.... and more.

    3. The package actually isn't that bad. You get an extended warranty and a year's worth of the zero bright dot warranty..... a really nice lamborghini case (It's actually about a $200 notebook case Lambo already sold in their design stores around Italy).....

    4. So, yes it's expensive and it's not what Asus fans may wish it was. But 90% of what was made was sold before they were released. All to Lamborghini dealerships and from what Asus told me, most of those dealerships said they had one client who wanted both a yellow and a black one...... so, expensive or not, although Ferrari owners didn't go out and buy the Acer Ferrari, Lamborghini owners certainly bought the Vx1... if not two of them.

    5. Because of the proximity with the V6j, and the fact that anyone who really wants it, wants it for those lids and because most people don't even realize there's anything more to it than those lids..... we simply decided not to offer it and to order in some lids to offer it as a lower cost option to the full package.... It's still expensive, but a fraction of the cost of the Vx1 with all of the visual cues.

Oh, and at this time, neither the V6j of Vx1 is set for a Core 2 Duo update until probably mid to late November.

man, I must have said the right thing..... so after my comment you think there' no need for anything more, huh? I can live with that, but I think they're always more room unless the thread gets really off topic. :)
