    Mic working on Z96JS and Vista

    I finally got my microphone working with Vista, and thought I might share it here if anyone still has this problem. I took a screenshot of the Realtek HD Audio Manager setting you have to change, but I can't do an insert.

    Open HD Audio Manager in the Control Panel
    Select Microphone then select Advanced Settings on right
    Select "Separate all input jacks as independent input devices"
    you then get a choice of microphone and mic in at rear panel
    select microphone and make it the default device
    you should have sound! worked for me.

    I downloaded the latest Realtek HD Audio Driver (6.0.1.5374) here:

    Which the real tek audio driver I cant find it on there
