the 2nd bay battery may not work right if the primary is not charging to 100%
-
hmm thanks for the heads up, right now my battery does charge to 100%, just doesn't hold charge for as long as I'd like! the 2nd bay battery is on it's way so I 'll let you know how it goes -
If you take out the main battery and just have the bay battery in it will charge just fine, (Still have my W3J with 2 batteries)

I havn't had any problems with battery problems related to them losing charge or charging. Only problem was that the unit would turn itself off or reboot when the main battery was drained and switched over to the bay battery (Cause was a beta bios to support merom because i put a T7200 in) anyhow the reason i found the bay battery charges without the main battery in is becasue i was just messing around one time to see if it would work

Just to add a word on Milestone PC (US).
I had bought my R1F last year from them with no problem, but a couple of month ago I ordered a battery, and got burned. They cashed my Money (I paid through PayPal) but never delivered. I filed a claim wit PayPal and they ruled in my favor, but were unable to recup the money because their account were either closed or blocked.
Now here is an advice for people using PayPal to pay Online. PayPal has no insurance so they will only be able to reverse the charges if they actually are able to get the money back (not very usefull in case of a crook who closes its accounts). But here is the catch. Normally you can then turn to your credit card company to get the charges reversed (THEY have insurance). But in my case they could not do anything because PayPal had charged my checking account directly (no insurance there). I then learned that burried inside my PayPal account, there was a way to set your account so that they charge your credit card and not your checking account (unfortunately the default option).
So buyers paying with PayPal beware, and make sure you check your PayPal account and have it setup to pay with your credit card NOT your checking account.
PS: If anyone from Milestone PC Canada is still listening, you could have the decency to at least shut the US website down so people know busines is over with Milestone PC US -

you are mistaken sir
paypal rules for buyer always if goods not delivered. even if account is closed. it may take a month but they do give you the money back unless the transaction was echeck -
Say that to them
They ruled in my favor, and sent me an email saying they could not reverse the charges because the seller's account was closed or locked.
Extract of PayPal Email:
We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.
I sent them an Email back asking if they had some sort of insurance so I could recover my money, and they answered me confirming that if they cannot get the money back from the seller's account, then there is nothing else they can do.
Extract of payPal Email:
PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy is our best efforts program to
reimburse buyers for losses only to the extent we are able to recover the funds from sellers. The PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy only applies to items purchased outside of eBay or eBay Express that were not delivered to the buyer.
So either PayPal does not know what they are talking about, or I am afraid YOU are mistaken.
Given I did not get my money back, I can only hope that PayPal is wrong and you are right -

This is probably the problem I had when I asked Visa to reverse my charges.
By default Paypal charges your checking account, and therefore you cannot ask your bank for a charge back, but if you setup your Paypal account so that the payment method is your credit card only, then you should be able to ask your credit card company to reverse the charges.
The thing is Paypal does not advertise this, sets up your account by default to debit your checking account, and the option is not easy to find on their site.
