Hi. I have a K55A-SX070V running win7 64bit, which has 2 devices in device manager without drivers.

    The devices are:

    "network controller"
    "PCI Simple Communications Controller"

I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to download the drivers i need?

I've been on the asus website for a look, but can't find them.

    Cheers.

You need to install the wireless driver for the network controller. You can use the driver from the driver CD you received when your laptop. As for the PCI Simple communication Controller, you will need to find the Intel management engine interface and install that.

If you don't have the CD, go here ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download K55A and under "Others" you will find the Intel management driver and under "Wireless" you will find your network driver.

EDIT: If you had already installed the wireless driver, then in that case, the Network Controller is referring to your Ethernet driver. You can find that under "LAN'

Thanks Wall Street for your help. That's it all up and running.

Only prob now is that the activation code on my full retail copy of win 7 is not valid. Purchased 2nd hand on ebay.

    There's always something....grrr!

From a reputable seller? You may need to call Microsoft to see if it's valid (and make sure you inspect each character closely, so you don't confuse a "1" with a "l" or a capital i, etc.). People have done that and had Microsoft tell them their key was not valid - only for them to realize they punched in one or two characters incorrectly.
