    Hi guys ;)

I have a little (big) problem..

In new version of bios, asus has removed an important option

In the old version there are 2 options in the bios for video card

    1) Run the laptop only with video card Intel HD Graphics
    2) Run the laptop with nvidia optimus (the switch between the two video cards is automatic)

Now, with new version, this option was removed.

Option may be hidden? you can re enter the old option?

I need to start my laptop only with intel hd...help please..

    (optimus is )

Not to point out the obvious, but just flash back to the previous version.

You but, previous versions have problems. You can not edit the current bios?

... Personally? No, I can't. This isn't really *that* sort of forum either - it's way too general.

Bios hacking is generally quite dangerous to the health of your laptop. It's easy to break a laptop, and you don't generally get second chances. I doubt they removed the bios option out of spite - either it was causing problems, or there wasn't enough space left on the chip to resolve the current issues.

Like Josea said - roll back if you want the option that badly. I'm suggesting that you go into the X52 subforum and ask for help there, or do a quick search for bios mod forums (there's really only one big one, it's not hard to find but it is against forum rules to post links to other forums, IIRC).

Sorry man, I know the feeling, when our G73's were new BIOS was 204, we are up to 213 and counting, but all are coming from the ASUS site. PS I like your original comment about OPTi...
