I have successfully created a USB backup of the Recovery partition, I have also created a Macrium backup of the entire hard drive and to cap it all I have also made a Windows backup and Recovery disk (not taking any chances here).

I also have an external DVD/CD drive which will obviously be required should I need to use any of these recovery disks. However, although I am able to access the BIOS it is nothing like I have ever seen before and I have no idea bow to change the boot order or to add the DVD/USB drive. I have read the User Manual pages which are fairly standard but they don't explain the boot order selection or implementation

Any help and advice will be much appreciated,

    Regards

Press ESC key at Asus logo screen will let you choose boot device.

If you are booting from Windows repair disk then choose UEFI CD/DVD. if you are booting from USB then choose USB drive.

Thanks Josea... I do have a screen like that on my desktop PC and I am quite familiar with it, however the screen on the lap top is totally different. I have since had my local tech walk me through the access procedure and I am now able to access the screen as I did with the desktop. This hint (Press ESC key at Asus logo screen will let you choose boot device) from GENTECH is handy and I'll try it later today. I'll also check on the BIOS model and advise that as well.
