    Model number for your DVDRW drives?

    i have the M6BNe and the toshiba drive i have currently is just awful, wont even read pressed cd/dvds properly i was wondering if you guys with 4x or 8x DVDRWs had the model numbers? maybe i can order a new drive that actually does its job. i prefer 8x

    The 4x panasonics aren't avaialble anymore....... we were the only ones who ever had that drive and it's long gone now.

    The 8x is also a panasonic, and the Asus model number is 90-N951W4100

    I agree that the burning on the DVDRW drive is pretty crap, personally the best thing I ever did was spend the extra $$ on an external burner. Sure it aint that portable but reliablity matters much more to me!

    The 8x panasonic and pioneer drives are much, MUCH better than toshiba. I trust toshiba for the combo drives and nothing more.
