    whats the best software to use to monitor temps? There was a time when i was playing call of juarez that the G73's right fan was audible and i was just playing splinter cell conviction and i didnt hear a peep out of it

    HWmonitor is a good one, also AMD GPU clock tool if the first doesn't work.

    I didn't want to use Windows gadgets for anything, but I think GPU Observer is a nice piece of SW, see Windows Live Gallery

    for CPU, you can use a variety of gadgets - this way, you don't have to download and run a different application
