Mourning

I log on at 12:57 pm today, go to my favorite thread, the group buy thread, and
by the end im almost in tears. Quatres useless arguing and confrontaional statements, along with Eddie's replys, (him replying was a mistake), caused first Corilosis to say the thread would be locked tonight, then pissed off Jason so much he decided to lock it right then and there...right before I could say goodbye and give a shout-out too all ma buddies in that thread...*sniff. I made this party because I was pissed as hell at Quatre, and party to discuss wtf happened. I think Quatre should be banned. I've actually learned a lot from what happened though...and have a few ideas to post in the suggestion box for the forum. *crying in my own corner*

O, and a shout out to Katicflis, Mythless, Starmar, and Eddie. Ah I feel better now.

Anyway, I just posted this on the site and suggestion section, thought I might as well post my ideas here too, seems to be relevant.
After viewing what transpired on the Asus group buy thread..I must say I was discusted with Quatre and the flamming going on. This deserves attention. We need people to listen to the moderators. He disregarded them 3-4 times, I lost count. Eddie disregarded them once too. These forums need a ban law, or suspension, where if you do not listen to what a moderator says the first time, you are suspended for 24 hours. A second post defying the moderators should be a 10 day ban. And well, a third strike...your obviously a flammer, so a permanent ban. I dont think this is too harsh or too much to ask really.

This should also apply to locking threads, as Jason did, and im glad he did lock it really, even if it did bum me out. Ok ill think of more later, peace.

 

Ok, first off, if you ever think someone is misbehaving you can hit the "report bad post icon" under their name and avatar. Then it will be reported to all the moderators of that forum, and we will know to keep our eyes open. I think most everyone on that thread was steering a little off course and that’s why the thread was locked. Everything in that thread was in chaos and was more then a full load for one moderator. In regards to Quatre, he was warned several times, and we will continue to keep our eyes on him and several other members. But really, it is not necessary or appropriate to discuss an individual member on the forum. And if you want to continue the group buy discussion, just go to Milestones site or Geard2plays site and talk there.

 

At this point I am most interested in hearing that everyone who wanted one is getting their machine at the discount.

I want to hear the news that it all followed through so hopefully that is not disruptive to the asus forum.

 

Ok Jason ill report the persons next time something like that happens. Guess theres not much else ya can do.

 

not the first time i got attacked by a fanatic and not the first reseller to get attacked either. Like i said before. I did nothing to provoke him other then telling him I will not allow him to place an order with us and then further by replying to his attack. Poor guy took it personal. i guess i would too. Though i doubt i would go as far as acuse my self of shady business just becuase i banned him from ordering. I dont really care if he gets banned from the forum. I dont care if he posts again. I did nothing wrong to the people of the preorder thread. In case everyone forgot what a monopoly is i will remind you. A monopoly can work in a world where all other competition can be silenced. On my forum i can silence the competition. On dannys forum he can too. On this forum the dealers dont own it. Competitor wars are what prevents a monopoly. If i had not been there all the people who joined dannys list would be locked into one price that danny deemed acurate. The way i see it I did everyone there a favor. Moral of the story is. if you want to make a preorder, this forum clearly states you can only offer product you have on hand and a price must be made available. This forum is not a billboard and I personally respect it for that. I try to advertise as little as possible. In the 2 years i have been here I never made one here though i have made numerous pre-orders on our own forum. I think all dealers here should think about that the next time they want to use this forum as a billboard and i hope the owners recognize that this forum is no place for that for obvious reasons. Take a look at my signature and tell me if i am contadicting my self. I think its a very modest sig by far smaller then most sigs

 

We are not asking you to like everyone on these forums, but we do ask that you respect each other and keep the bashing off of the forums. As Jason stated, you can always report any user that you feel is not following the forums rules. You can also PM a moderator if you need to discuss a specific issue, but please do not bring these issues on to the forums. We try to handle the personal problems in private and not on the forums.


With that said, I'm closing this thread. It is only going to bring trouble and turn out into a bash fest.
