I have my zenbook UX305UA attached to a large monitor when I am at home. When traveling I still like to use a wireless mouse. For a long time now the sleep mode of the big screen has not been working and even with the screen switched off at night the mouse has been moving and activating software. This necessitated switching the mouse off as well. Today the mouse was jiggling badly on screen and making the computer difficult to use. So, now I have applied some time to the problem.
Switching the mouse off did not change the problem. Dusting off the touchpad greatly improved the problem. I then found I could not turn the touchpad off as I had not installed Smart Gesture. Now Smart Gesture is re-installed, the touchpad is switched off (fn + f9), the wireless mouse is nice to use, and the monitor sleeps as required.
I hope this information helps others. I am happy.
