    Hi... ASUS UL30V Series

I have noticed that my mouse pointer acts funny when the battery is attached to my laptop. It doesn't slide or glide smoothly but makes stops along the screen. Once battery is removed it slides normally.

My battery also stopped working due to accidentally pressing the power button while watching a movie. I am about to order a new battery as the light under the mouse pad keeps flashing red.

I tried defaulting the bios and holding the power button for 45 seconds while the ac power and battery were out.

    Nothing worked....

The battery shows full charge when plugged in....

    Any ideas

It's not the battery. It's whatever is monitoring the battery.

Your battery could be faulty, it could be causing a ton of interrupts and causing the lag. You would seem to notice it too if you typed fast or in other latency dependent things as well.

Sounds like an ACPI issue of some sort. Check the Event Log.
