I just bought an Asus Vivobook
TP510UA-RH31T.
It comes with 6gb of ddr4 ram and the manufacturer states it is upgradeable to 16gb.
Upon opening it, I was unable to find any ram slots.
I also called Asus support who were worthless stating that they dont support hardware modifications
Today I brought it into a computer repair store who said that the ram is soldered onto the motherboard and not upgradeable.
Any helpful input is appreciated
Thanks

The RAM in that system is indeed soldered and not upgradable. What you may have seen on the site is that its configuration goes up to 16GB, but that depends on the submodel (RH31T in this case has less RAM configured).
