My new lappy is neat and nice.. except when it causes these problems..

    First problem!
Wireless stops working when I unplug AC cord.
I've disabled the option of turning off wireless adapter to power save..
I've checked the driver via Window's auto check and it says driver is up to date
Now I don't know what the problem is....

2nd.. does it always take forever to hibernate? It takes mine a few minutes.
And if I hibernate by closing the lid but accidentally open the lid before it hibernates, it'll freeze w/ a black screen and just run really fast (fan blowing) without doing anything.

    What to do?
    Thanks

I had a similar situation today with coming out of hibernation. It turns out it was my display drivers. Did you recently update/change your display drivers? I was using 165.01 when the problem existed. Now I'm using 163.44. Its been running good so far...

Haven't heard that before... Like the graphics driver or something else?
How do I check my version?

o.o go to ur my computer, properties, device manger, find your video card, properties, it should show the verision somewhere in the driver, or , use the nvidia utility, and find it under info. also whats your bios verision? .... because it might be in compability due to ram... since that caused 90% of the problems I've seen ... if not newest, go on asus site and flash ur bios

hibernating a laptop or computer with 3GB takes time, general rule, the more ram(after a certain amount), the more time it takes to hibernate because the O.S. as to copy all the contents from your RAM memory to the hard drive and hard drives are slower. and 3GB is quite a lot of RAM. Well, but minutes as you say that is too much...doesn't take minutes on mine, it takes about 40 seconds i think.....but it does take about 10-15 seconds to boot from hibernate

to solve the freeze problem when you close the lid before it hibernates....that should be because the computer tries toi standby at the same tiume it is trying to hibernate...go to control panel and power options, and where it says "when i close the lid" select "do nothing"

well your lucky your c90 even goes into hibernate, my laptop just stays on regarless of sleep mode, shut down, hibernate. When i do these things it just wakes back up, or restarts when i shut down.
I noticed even when i plug the ac power into the laptop it turns on by itself!
When the ac power is out all those problems go away.

xchange it with your buyer ... and mail asus that you got a problem, and identify the memory make, like the lil chip u see on it, and put those code in too.... if u have other pc5300 soidmm laying around u can stick them in and try, but the chance of you having a bad unit is slim, but its still a possiblity too...

    And new problem...
Sound sometimes goes completely off after hibernation.. maybe in combination of unplugging AC adapter.

Also... Anybody has problems with the AC adapter getting super super hot?
Or is it just because mine is 90V?

    well mine says input: 100-240V~1.5A
    Output: 19V 2.74A

So by the output and V*A= 19*2.74=52.06W
hmmmm is that right? something must be wrong here....

The model number is: ADP 90SB
So im guessing its 90 LoL

unless you got it form btotech chances are that you have a 90w (gearedtoplay reported to ship c90s with newer gpu with 120w adapters)

sounds like a heat crash, or possibly ram incompatability.
