    After 3D mark 06, my cpu runs hot. it runs at 87'C

    Thats really really high.....have you rebooted and tried again and do you get the same temps?

    Yeah 87*C is not good for a CPU. Depending on the BIOS, most CPUs thermal threshold where the CPU will start to downclock is when it reaches 90*C.

    Alright, couple of questions... First thing's first; what Asus notebook do you own? What is the CPU model? How old is your notebook, and have you ever dusted the laptop for traces of dust on your heatsinks, fans and vents, replaced thermal paste, etc? Have you also tried undervolting?
