    My Laptop and Big Sigh of Death

    Hi,

    i turned on my laptop today and it won't power up. i mean the lights come on for a second and the hard drive spins into action, but then just as quick it shuts down :confused:

    any suggestions to whats going on or what needs to be done???..

    either a problem with ur motherboard, fan spoiled or powerfailure. Send it to asus if u still have warranty.

    i have about two months left on the warranty.

    just waiting for asus to send me an rma for it

    culd try to dismount hdd and wait for some 30 seconds, then put it back in and try to restart. Should reset your bios to factory defaults if its a bios flaw, this wont work if you have it plugged to the ac adapter and got power from there so make sure this is disconnected before you remove the battery.

    we'll its being booked in with Asus lets see what happens.

    would a motherboard failure consistute a replace laptop???...

    most likely they'll just change the whole motherboard or they might give u a new notebook but same model.
