    My M6800N shut off without warning. It is like its a short circuit problem.

    I guess it must be a hardware problem. It has occured about 4 times in 2 months some times in ac mode and sometimes in battery mode.

    What could be wrong with my laptop?

    I would check that the power settings arent changed first, occassionally my M6Ne would reset the power4gear settings back to default, with the notebook shutting down after a certain period of inactivity, it could be as simple as this.
