Guys, I cannot find the detailed specifications that I need to complete my purchase.

I need to know if this laptop has SATA II (I will put an ocz vertex SSd in it so I don't care about the Hdd).

From what I can gather, It has PM 45 Intel chipset and ICH9M. But nowhere can I find confirmation that it has a SATA II or SATA 300 interface.

Secondly, what is DDR3 on a graphics card ? My 8800GTS has GDDR3. Some laptops I see on newegg have DDR2.

Who thought of putting DDR on a graphics card ? How perverse !

Now, even though newegg says it's DDR3, please tell me it's GDDR3 !!!

Finally, how do I get sound to my home theater receiver (I only have Hdmi passthrough). It has a SPDIF (Sony, Philips Dgital InterFace) "combo" /with a stereo headphones jack.

Does that convert into digital coax male plug at the other end of the cable or what ?

God I hope some of you can help. :)

    cheers

All I can answer is the spdif question (Sry, only one i know the answer to). You need a minitoslink to toslink cable. They can be found for cheap online (rare and expensive in stores!) The spdif on asus laptops is optical... the minitoslink is 3.5mm and will fit into the jack
