    Hello all,

I'm a very long time lurker and I just purchased an N53JQ-XV1, while it appears to be a very well built machine, I'm afraid i'll be returning it due to the poor lcd performance. The glossy screen just doesn't get bright enough for me. Maybe i'm spoiled by my Dell Corporate issue 6510 but my Asus seems unusually dim even at maximum brightness and turning up the brightness in Nvidia control panel results in a mess. Is there a hack or fix that improves the brightness or is this just the nature of the Asus LCDs? Love the rest of the machine and I had already ordered the 9 cell battery & 12 gigs of ram but I just can't deal with the dim lcd. Any help would be appreciated as I would love to keep it.
