    Hi,

I have 2 3tb seagate hdds on this laptop but the hardware thinks they're 800GB. This appears to be a firmware problem.

I'm trying to find a firmware update on asus.com but their site is completely unusable.

Does anyone know where the firmware can be found?

    Regards and thanks,

    George...

UEFI needs to be enabled and then make an GPT instead of MBR. It's for huge HDDs.

    Dantei,

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

UEFI on Linux? That's all I have. Can you give me more pointers please? How do I enable this?

    THANKS AGAIN!

    Regards,

    George...

You only need UEFI if you want to *boot* off of a GPT drive.

What kind of enclosure are you using, USB2, USB3, or eSATA?
