    N53SV audio stops working

    I have done a fresh install on my N53SV of Windows 7 Enterprise.

    I have an intermittent issue where the audio from the laptop speakers will stop working. You then need to do a reboot to get audio back.

    I am using the RealTek drivers which seem to be slightly newer than the asus ones.

    Try using the older audio driver from Asus and see if that makes any difference.

    Generally you will want to use the drivers available on the ASUS site since they have been tested and they work well with the machine. We see a similar issue on components such as the graphics card, where new drivers released by the manufacturer of the component don't necessarily play nice with the system.

    does this happen if you turn on express gate? from expressgate try to duplicate the issue and report with what you found

    i do not have express gate installed, so can try that.

    will try the older drivers on the asus site.
