When I am running my laptop on a AC Power, I get electrics shocks at the edges. I am worried if this damages my mobo or HD. I just got it yesterday from a friend of mine who bought it from NewEgg. I live in Nepal. When running on battery, I don't have any problem. I heard its a problem with the adapter or grounding sytem at home. Other Laptop I posess doesn't have this problem.

P.S. I am not in a position to RMA back to US.

I have had two N53SV-XV1 that I ran on AC power only with no battery. I never noticed the problem you mention. I plugged mine into 3 head outlet surge protector (cheap one). Can u try another AC adapter, or different surge adapter, and see what happens?

I do notice from the 2 machines I got, that it has an annoying high pitch buzz noise coming from keyboard if you lean your head close enough to the keyboard.

To add to it, I have Samsung 20in external monitor. When I am running on battery and attached to external monitor, I get electric shocks then as well. it is more intense that what i used to get when I was running on AC power. What can be the solution, I am worried if it may harm my laptop?
