I bought this laptop at Sams and got a great deal. I like every thing about it, except the trackpad is very unstable and works very erratically. Movements get stuck and left click often registers as a right click and it is hard to click on small links. Also when you try to drag the scroll bars, it will not drag it most of the time. The keyboard often skips key presses.
Like I said, I love everything about it, but I cannot deal with the track pad and key issues. Unless I find a solution, it is going back, which would be a bummer since I got such a good deal and everything else is great.
Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?
This is the same as the other N550J models, except this one only has an Intel HD4600 and no dedicated GPU.

We haven't had any reports of erratic behavior. Have you removed and reinstalled the trackpad driver and keyboard filter and ATKACPI package?

ASUS Smart Gesture (Touchpad Driver) v2.2.5 [Please update ATK Package V1.0.0020 or later in advance] -
I did remove and reinstall all the drivers, but that had no effect. I ended up taking it back. The hard drive started making noises and the laptop started cutting off when I applied any pressure to the chassis. I think the mother board was touching something when the pressure was applied.
I loved the performance of this laptop and the screen was great, so I hated having to take it back.
Now I just have to decide on the replacement......
