I just got my new asus and it all looks fine, the only issue I have is that the touchpad is not installed evenly, it is sunk down on the left side with a a small gap and on the right it is tight and even with the rest of the keyboard. I have the option of returning it for a refund or a new one. I am only worried that if I return I may get a new one that is perfect or it may be in worse shape as I have heard some are getting keyboards that are very off center.
What do you guys think? I love the computer, I had to search log and hard to find all of the requirements and the price, I would be willing to bet this is the best bet of any at this price point, so I don't want the refund, just wondering what others thought the odds were of getting something in worse shape, or if I am just being too picky for the 1000 it cost. I look forward to hearing from you, I only have a couple days left to return it so please speak up.

You should not be worried about expecting a properly finished product.

If it were purchased at a local store where it would be easy to do an exchange I would. Maybe ask them to open it up and take a look before you swap them.
10+ years ago I bought one from BB and the keyboard seemed loose. I brought it back showed them, and they swapped it out for another one. -
If you can return it for a refund then go for it and grab the newer ASUS N550JK-DS71T from Amazon and it is in stock now for $1099. This one has a ddr3 Maxwell gtx850m and comes default with Windows 8.1 and wireless AC wifi card.
The ddr3 gtx 850m Maxwell should still be significantly faster than the ddr3 750m and should be on par with the gddr5 755m or gtx 660m. The reason I say this is because the gddr5 gtx 850m is as fast or slightly faster than the gtx 765m. -

Maxwell also has extra cache meaning it takes less of a hit from less bandwidth so the drop from gddr5 will be a little less.

Wow look at this Meaker. It uses the same Maxwell ddr3 gtx 850m. It's almost as fast as the gtx 765m and scores around 4,200 in 3dmark11?? Am I wrong here or it's a typo?
