    Hi all,

I have an N56VJ with a recovery partition on the HDD (25GB of it) but the laptop will not detect it in order to do a factory reset. Possibly the last owner tinkered with the partitions and the recovery system lost the ability to find the recovery partition. Any ideas how I can get it to do a factory reset from the recovery partition?

    Thanks

Are you trying to launch it at start up (usually F9, I think)? How do you know the system isn't detecting the partition, especially if it appears 25 GB are allocated towards it?
