I recently purchased a N56VJ. I had been using an HDMI switch because I have two computers but only one HDMI input on the monitor. However, the new N56VJ will not display through the switch although the other computers I have do, but the Asus will display if you directly connect the HDMI cable to the monitor. The Windows 8 display settings can see that the monitor is there, but I have not had any luck getting the display to work by changing settings, etc. Is there any way around this?

Even with the hotkey toggle on the keyboard, it won't output when you change it from the internal monitor to projector/external display? What happens if you unplug the other computers from the switch and leave only the N56VJ connected to it?
