My notebook just crashed from Windows and now nothing happens anymore when I press the poer button. No sign (no LED, no flickering, no DVD drive sounds, no CPU fan).
I assume it has something to do with the BIOS. Is there any way to reset the BIOS/NVRAM in some way?

..no. That's kind of why I haven't been messing around with flashing the bios so much myself.
You can obviously open the thing up and remove the cmos battery, though. But this isn't going to reset a faulty flash of the nvram, just reset the cmos settings.
..was much easier in the old days. Could pull the bios eprom out, and force-flash it. *shrug* -
I opened it already (full disassemble, not just the RAM plate) - it has no battery (if it's not on the back side of the board under the keyboard, I did not remove the keyboard from the mainboard). And it has no removable BIOS chip. It doesn't even have a JBAT jumper or a delete button. That's what I hate with modern computers, everything is just a single, unremovable, soldered block of IC chip....
Or how do modern batteries and BIOS chips look like? The batteries I remember where these flat silvery disks, such thing is definitly not in my N56VZ. -

So, battery and BIOS chip are placed NOT on the same side where the RAM is? Did I get this right?
-
Right. On the side facing towards the bottom of the chassis.
...Have you tried removing the main battery and power for a while, by the way? There are acpi call scripts that could cause the computer to never wake up. -
But facing to the bottom is the RAM/CPU side, isn't it? There is no BIOS/battery... Are there pictures of it?
Yes, I tried it. Removed the main battery, disconnected everything and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Did not help. -
..isn't the connector down at the side by the fan on the left? And the battery just tucked in further in..? Sorry about that.. Could be I'm confusing this and the n53 I had.. I guess if it's not visible, then it's got to be between the keyboard plate and the motherboard..
