Hey guys. Not too long ago my laptop - a N61JA - had it's touchpad simply stop working. No BSOD, nothing, just stopped responding. To date I have re-installed countless drivers, and even just finished reinstalling Windows 7. What else can I try short of making sure my credit card works and buying a new damn laptop?

To summarise, it must be a hardware issue. I've reinstalled different drivers, tried the touchpad in Expressgate, and reinstalled windows.

USB mice work fine, it's just the touchpad. Are there some connectors I should be looking at and checking?

I've tried disconnecting the blue connector on the mobo just above the touchpad, below the keyboard.

This is painful, not having a working touchpad.

    Thanks.
