I posted this in another area but wanted the Asus experts opinions.

I am looking to spend under $1200 on a notebook that will be good for watching movies in HD and will play games using the Unreal 3 engine and the new Total War games on high setting. I've looked at the Asus N61JQ but was concerned about the low resolution. I've also thought about the G51JX but the art on the laptop case would make me hesitate to take it out of the house. Are there better options than those two? If not, which of the two would be better for my needs.

Exactly my thoughts. To be honest, watching movies and playing games, you will not see the difference in resolution on a 16" screen anyway. I'd take the N61JQ and enjoy the lower weight, more low key design, and know that the HD 5730 is only about 25% slower than the GTS360M in 3DMark06, but that it can run games at N61JQ's native resolution much more easily than the G51JX will be able to at its native resolution.
