Gday guys from australia. My n61ja has a few problems with it and is in dire need of a warranty return I'm not going to be able to take it to Melbourne anytime soon because its to hard to travel the 200km. And by the time I manage to get down there theres a good chance it would have been quicker to send it off anyway.

I live in rural Victoria, what would be the estimated turn around from when I go down to Aus Post and box it up etc to when I get a knock at the door with it back ready for some lovin?

And what do I need to send off with it? A list of problems with it, and a recipt? Too much/too little?

And will it be a refurbished laptop, or the same one with (hopefully) new repair parts, such as the screen.

And is it neccessary to send it off with the hard drive? Not neccessarily personal data etc, more of the fact it being a SSD and risk losing it in a pile of parts or something.

Last, do I just send off the laptop itself? Do I send the charger or anything?

    Cheers immensely.

You will want to contact ASUS service first to setup an RMA with them. They will let you know everything that they require with the package.

I am not sure what the turnaround time is for repairs in your area, but average industry wide is usually around 5-9 business days, but that will be highly dependent on the issue and your location.

you can keep your hard drive. that model was not a hugely popular model. if you are sending it to a subcontractor expect 1-2 months turnaround. if it is going to an asus owned service center it may be up to a month. you want to write out all your issues here perhaps some of them can be rectified without service.
