Hey guys i just got the N61jq-x1 and i gotta say, i looove it!!! But not as much as i hated all the bloatware. So i just installed a fresh copy of windows 7 ultimate x64. Now the first thing i did was go to Ati/amd website and download the drivers. this is the first time ive had a PC with a ATI graphics card. What i did was select notebooks then selected the Radeon HD 5000 series and selected windows 7 64bit and from there i downloaded the Option 1 - Full Software Suite and installed using the express settings. My question is that when i go into system information, it recognizes my graphics as ATI Radeon 5700 series. And before i did the fresh install, it used to say ATI Radeon 5730. Is there a reason why its doing that? Are my drivers correctly installed?
Also i installed all the drivers from asus's website and the only thing it would not let me install was the Turbo Boost Drivers. It kept saying "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software" Is this because this driver does not apply to my model? And if i cant install this then will the i7 optimize correctly when it needs the Turbo Boost?
Thank you for all the help in advance!!

It is normal that the generic driver from ATI show you card as ATI 5700 series. Mine does the same.
The Turbo Boost application is not necessary. It is just the sidebar gadget that shows you when the CPU is using turbo boost mode, but it is strange that the installation did not work for you. -
Thanks for the reply! Also whenever the laptop boots up it seems as if the UAC settings dont allow the multitouch pad drivers to open. it pops up the message to run or not to run. Is there way so that the drivers get through? Right now i just turned the UAC settings all the way down to Never Notify. Is that unsafe?

I have my UAC settings to Never Notify too.As long as you have a reliable AV I don't think is unsafe at all.
