    Hello!

There's no N73SV thread in the owner's lounge subforum and I can't open one because I don't own the N73SV laptop (yet).

I have some question, if anyone has it...

It's this particular mode with two HDDs: ASUS N73SV-TZ137V ( ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - ASUS - ASUS N73SV)

I've read that these new laptops have Intel's Sandy Bridge processors which prevent recording video or something. An anti-pirate thing. Can someone tell me what exactly is prevented, what does it do exactly and what I won't be able to do?

Have the N73SV series laptops glossy or matte display? If it's glossy is it very annoying whit a light in the room or is it allright?

Is the keyboard good? Can an external keyboard be used too? It it a loud or silent laptop?

Do you maybe have any info on DPC latency? I will use it for audio recording via USB audio interface, so I'd like to know.

    THANK YOU! :)

Aside from the issue of DRM thingamajigs embedded in the CPU, you can probably get most of these questions answered in the existing N73JQ thread. The difference between the J* and the S* types boils down to revision, the S has newer iterations of the CPU, chipset and GPU, but otherwise the chassis, screen, keyboard and so on are all the same, so most impressions of the JQ in those respects should apply to the new SV.
