So last week I bought a N80Vn-X1 and the fan broke the first night. I RMA'ed it and now they do not have the X1 in stock and they are offering me the N80Vn-A1. I was wondering if the A1 has a LED screen and what is the exact difference between the two video cards.

The only thing they list different in the email that I got from them that I get a bag and mouse the the hard drive goes up 70 gigs.

Also newegg says the resolution says it is 1440 x 900 . Is that true another thread people were saying that was false.

You are getting a laptop with the same graphics card , same RAM, higher resolution display, and a bigger HD, seems like a good deal to me =)

And Newegg lists the product as WXGA+ so it is in fact 1440x900

Unfortunately the screen is not LED backlit compared to your previous one, which is the only loss I see (not sure how important it is to you).

hmm, this may mean that newegg will do the same for me...
i like LED screens though :( and the 1440x900 would mean that the external moniter i got was a waste, because the one i got was 1440x900 xDDD

Again not sure if NewEgg has special model from OEM but my N80Vn-A1 has:

LED WXGA screen (1280 x 800)... yes definitely LED, but not WXGA+
    320GB HD, 5400RPM (Hitachi)

    All other specs the same.
