I'm living in the US at the minute but I'm returning to UK at the end of May (exchange student) and I would like to purchase a new laptop while I'm here because the prices are so much cheaper.

I seen this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220488 and it meets my needs and then some for a good price. So the only thing left to ask is, if i purchase it in the states from newegg, am I covered in the UK if it breaks under warranty? Or do I have to pay extra for international cover?

    I think it's a global warranty ...

It is a global warranty...however from what I hear the UK warranty is nowhere near as good as that of the U.S. and certain other parts of Europe. There are quite a few UK-warranty horror stories around these forums.
