I'm interested in purchasing a new laptop in the near future and have come upon the N81VG. I was/am very intrigued by it, however have only been able to locate a reseller which will allow me to preorder the N81VP-C1. I assume they are fairly similar, but can someone please explain the differences between these two models? (N81VG and the N81VP-C1) Also, anyone know where I can find the VG in the US? (Actually, if there was a place in Thailand, that would be better, but that may be harder...)

    Thanks!

The N81GV has the new GeForce GT 120M GPU (which isn't released yet), while the N81VP-C1 has the ATI HD4650 which is due this coming week.
I'm not sure about the availability in Thailand.... your best bet is to wait for it in the US or in Taiwan. If the VG is available, they will be sold at Asus resellers.

As mentioned in my previous post, there's no info regarding the release date for the VG. The VP is due this coming week.

The GeForce GT 120M GPU performs about the same as GeForce 9600M GS, the ATI HD4650 with GDDR3 is just little bit under GeForce 9700M GT with GDDR3.

    It's already in stock.

I'm rather curious about these two units as well.

So the GT 120M will be slower than the current N80's with a GeForce 9650GT? Or will the GT 120M be paired with GDDR3?

Do you think the n81vg with the 120M will handle L4d?
