    NB Probe died

    So my NB probe kept giving me a Explorer error so i went to the site and downloaded the latest one. Well it gives me a GetlastError returned 1062 hitting ok installs to 96% and then pops up with "SP Manager install failed".

    the only thing that installs is the InstallDLL.dll


    Help?

    I would suggest you try to run the installer in administrator mode, maybe it requires that.
    Otherwise just use something else to monitor your laptop. For instance, RMClock with no management for the CPU, GPU-Z or RivaTuner for the GPU.

    Or Everest.

    Hi,

    You get this error when there are traces from older installations left. There are probably two entries in your registry left for these two files of your previous NB Probe installation:
    - Program Files\ASUS\NB Probe\SPM\spmgr.exe
    - Program Files\ASUS\NB Probe\SPM\ghaio.sys

    Make sure you get rid of these entries. I used Sysinternals autoruns to find and delete them.

    After that installation finished error free.
