Yeah, you're not going to be able to use winflash because it'll stop you and tell you the bios you're trying to use is older.

you can do it in dos... if you download the dos bios flash ute on Asus' site, I'm pretty sure it'll give you a list of instructions.

    Thanks,

In that thread there is a great post by funnyc on how to go back to 205, I used to to go from 207 to 205 as well, it works like a treat !
Just follow each step exactly, there are a few programs to download but it is pretty straight forward. If your having trouble let me know and I will post a link to the iso i made
    Good luck
    a :)

    Quote from Funnyc
"I should have read this topic before upgrading to the 0207ae bios. I really didn't like the fan issue and have reverted/downgraded back to the 0206Ae bios. Here's the procedure for those interested, try at your own risk!

    1. Download the Dos flash utility AFLASH2_Dos_050127.zip from here: http://usa.asus.com/support/download/item.aspx?ModelName=M6N&Type=Latest

    2. Download the 0206ae bios from here: ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/NOTEBOOK/M6x00NE/

    3. Create a Clean Bootable CD-Rom (for BIOS upgrade) as per the instructions on here: http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/#clean
Remember to copy the flash and bios to the correct directory!

    4. Boot from CD and run the flash program

    5. Done.

    hope this helps."

I went back to 0206Ae as well... but when the North American version of 0207Ae came out, I switched to that one.
All in all, I still hear fan noise... but I've grown so used to it... and I'd rather have my system running cool and slightly noisy, than hot and silent.

I want this system to last!

I didn't need to edit the autoexec.exe file...
you're positive you set your CD-ROM to boot as first priority?
